I started practicing Bikram Yoga in 2012 as a way to explore the limits of my physical body. In 2014, I moved to Reno and decided to become a member at a yoga studio. The classes challenged me both mentally and physically and I was so inspired by the people that surrounded me in every class. I fell in love with everything that yoga presented to me- awareness, mindfulness, and acceptance all became a part of my everyday life. When the opportunity presented to become a certified Yoga teacher, I knew that this was the next step of my journey. I completed my teacher training in Bali, Indonesia earlier this year where I dove deep into my practice and learned more about myself than I knew possible. My training placed a strong emphasis on yoga history and philosophy, which I incorporate into my teachings. My classes are welcoming and available to all levels and we will practice nonviolence, gratitude and compassion in a non-judgemental and accepting environment. We will start by setting the foundation for our practice and turning inwards. After connecting with our breath, we will move through a fun and creative flow with options for modifications and/or variations to suit your personal practice. My intention is to help students connect their experiences on the mat into their daily lives so that their highest selves may become their daily selves. Join me on this journey and practice of self-realization.
